EndeavorB2B's Design, Engineering & Automation group has opened submissions for its 2027 EDGE Awards, a reader-voted program recognizing new products across fluid power, motion control, mechatronics and related engineering disciplines. The competition spans 16 technology categories and is open to products introduced between May 2026 and May 2027.
How the Program Works
Unlike awards decided by a judging panel, EDGE Award winners are selected by readers of Power & Motion and sister publications within the Design, Engineering & Automation group, including Automation World, Control, Control Design, Electronic Design, Machine Design, Military + Aerospace Electronics and Microwaves & RF. This reader-driven model means visibility among engineers and technical buyers across those outlets can directly influence which products rise to the top.
Companies can submit entries into categories such as Additive Manufacturing and Rapid Prototyping, AI Data Analytics, Robotics, Machine Vision & Inspection, Industrial Controllers, and Test, Measurement, Sensors and Software, among others covering components, software and systems used in industrial design and automation work.
Key Dates and Eligibility
Submitters should note two deadlines: an Early Bird cutoff of November 24, 2026, and a final submission deadline of December 22, 2026. Only products launched within the specified 12-month eligibility window qualify, meaning offerings introduced before May 2026 or after May 2027 fall outside this cycle. Winners will be announced in May 2027.
Recognition Beyond the Award
Winning companies will have the opportunity to appear on the Code The Future Podcast, produced in partnership with awards sponsor QNX, to discuss their winning product in greater depth. This gives recognized entrants an additional channel to reach engineering audiences beyond the awards announcement itself.
Full entry rules, category definitions and submission instructions are available on the EDGE Awards website, which companies should consult directly to confirm eligibility details before preparing an entry.
