This is the Glob
variant of the GlowOrb.
The GlowOrb Glob is a single pixel output device, great for showing the status of something. Powered by USB and WiFi connected, you send it a colour (in HTML hex format) and it shows that colour.
You can control it via MQTT or HTTP. Each Glob has a comprehensive instruction page (accessed through the URL on the base of the Glob) which includes a drag-and-drop code example for Node-RED, MQTT connection details, and an HTTP request example.
The GlowOrb Glob is 40x40x25(H) mm, has a 3D printed base and a ping-pong ball diffuser on top. Power is supplied through a micro-USB connector (cable not supplied).
The Glob connects to WiFi using WPA2 authentication, and hosts its own wireless access point for easy initial configuration onto your WiFi.
